Application of Nordic Body Map and Rapid Upper Limb Assessment for Assessing Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders: A case study in Small and Medium Enterprises

Small Medium Enterprise (SMEs) hold a strategic role in economic activities. Since SMEs contribute enlivening businesses, it is important to assess the SMEs’ performances. One of most vital aspects running workers’ productivity which very risky declining performance. This study will Musculoskeletal Disorder (MSD), one problems. By applying Nordic Body Map (NBM) and Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA), this aims work-related MSD SME. The NBM questionnaire was used explore prevalence ergonomic risk factors perceived by operator. Meanwhile RULA analysis conducted know operator's work position score. assessment resulted 7 initial scoreof employee's position. scoreindicated that immediately required an investigation, further implementation, changes. From result, necessary improve better working using desk chair. After improvement, score dropped 3, good number. change operator’s body posture proved be assessed. doing so, can offer advice based on evaluation expected increase SMEs.
